Big Plan Holdings, a Nashville-based diversified family holding company, announces a new monthly event series which allows budding entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their ideas in a Shark Tank-style setting to an expert panel for a chance to receive investment opportunities.
The initiative, coined BPH Investment Club, is led by husband and wife duo Josh and Tara Joseph, founders of Big Plan Holdings, plus local entrepreneur Hannah Schneider of HSC Media, BRND House and Kettner Coffee Supply. Each month, the pair will invite a rotating roster of guest investors. The group will accept applications prior to each event and after an interview vetting process, they will select ten candidates to pitch their ideas to the panel. The first panel will be held on April 26, 2021.
“I know firsthand the challenges that startups and entrepreneurs face daily,” says Schneider. “I am excited to use my experience, failures and successes to help guide and mentor people who are hungry and ready to put in the work.”
Joseph previously co-founded and sold Grassroots Cannabis, the largest privately owned cannabis company in the nation. His experience in operations and scaling businesses allows him to determine each idea’s long-term growth and success potential, while Schneider’s background in public relations and building brands allows her to discern the marketability of each idea. Monthly guest investors will also bring their diverse portfolios and backgrounds to the discussion.
"We can't wait to hear all of the creative ideas and business plans from Nashville locals," says [Tara] Joseph. "The pandemic has led many businesses and individuals to feel isolated and I look forward to acting as a support in bringing people together that might not normally have the opportunity.”
