The former home of Piggly Wiggly on Dickerson Pike has a star studded future with some of Nashville's most beloved small business operators set to expand in the East Nashville neighborhood.
The yet-to-be-named mixed-use destination spans 13,000-square-feet and will open at 917 Dickerson Pike.
Signed leases include:
- Philip Krajeck and the team behind popular restaurants Rolf & Daughters and Folk.
- 2,200-sqaure-foot fronting Dickerson Pike for an entirely new dinner concept from Restaurateur Michael Shemtov, Chef Bryan Weaver, and Partner Jake Mogelson, the team behind Butcher & Bee and Redheaded Stranger.
- A whimsical, yet modern designed, and playful restaurant concept from the team behind Old Glory - Alexis Soler and partners Emily Wilcher and Michelle Pham.
- FLWR Shop, owned and operated by Alex Vaughan and Quinn Kiesow, a previous East Nashville crowd favorite whose previous location in Five Points was destroyed by the 2020 tornado.
“I’ve loved being involved in the retail renaissance in Cleveland/McFerrin Park. To expand onto Dickerson Pike, and what is proving to be the next bustling East Nashville corridor, is very exciting. We love investing in this neighborhood, especially when we can repurpose an existing iconic building.” says Elliott Kyle, a born and raised Nashville native. "917 Dickerson is a beautiful building and getting this amazing lineup of local talent all locking arms in one project is a really unique and rare opportunity."
Local developers leading the charge include Elliott Kyle, Talbott Ottinger, McClain Towery, Jamie Pfeffer, and Patrick Lewis. The core group is associated with several projects in the area, including The Dive Motel, the repositioning of The Roxy Theater, The McGavock House (future home of Good People Brewing), and the redevelopment of the Ray of Hope Church. They are partnering with previous building owner Danielle Rice on the redevelopment of the Piggly Wiggly. The developers have brought on Nashville-based architect and design firm, Pfeffer Torode Architecture.
