Natural Dye: Hammering Technique on Fabric & Paper with Arcade Arts' Artist in Residence Katherine Frensley.
In this workshop, we will use the hammering technique to explore natural dyes from flowers and other plant materials on fabric and a variety of paper. You will learn to use this dyeing technique and also discover alternative dyeing methods and their various applications in Frensley's practice.
If you have any type of paper you'd like to explore this technique with, feel free to bring it along! Pretreated fabric and a variety of paper will be provided for this workshop, along with the necessary tools.
