Every Thursday at 2:00 PM, join us on the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's Instagram, @OfficialCMHOF, for live workshops with professional songwriters who'll share insights into the creative process.
This session of Words & Music at Home features singer-songwriter and Big Machine Records recording artist Brett Young. He wrote the majority of the tracks on his first two albums, including the hits “Catch,” “Here Tonight,” “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Like I Loved You,” “Mercy,” and “Sleep without You.” Working with producer Dann Huff, Young—a California native and former Major League Baseball prospect—developed a West Coast-meets-Nashville sound that he calls “Caliville.” Young was the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Vocalist of the Year in 2018, and he has toured with Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, and Thomas Rhett.
