The 34th annual Southern Festival of Books will return to downtown Nashville’s War Memorial Plaza and the Nashville Public Library’s main branch October 14 -16, 2022. The Festival annually features hundreds of authors, including some of the most critically acclaimed of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, including: Rick Bragg, Ibram X Kendi, Celeste Ng, Ann Patchett, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Ruta Sepetys, and Natasha Threthewey.
Presented by Humanities Tennessee, the three-day festival hosts more than 200 authors in panel sessions, discussions, and readings from a wide variety of genres including fiction and nonfiction, young adult literature, poetry, science fiction, and mystery. Featured festival books are available for purchase and can be signed by authors during the event.
Friday, October 14: noon-5 p.m.
Saturday, October 15: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, October 16: noon-5 p.m.
The Festival also hosts numerous performance stages, food trucks, and literary activities for the whole family all within three blocks of downtown Nashville, spanning from the Nashville Public Library to the doors of the State Capitol.
