Grammy-winning recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Steve Wariner wrote and recorded “I Got Dreams,” “I Should Be with You,” “I’m Already Taken,” “Two Teardrops,” “When I Could Come Home to You,” “Where Did I Go Wrong,” “You Can Dream of Me,” and the 1998 hit “Holes in the Floor of Heaven,” which was named Song of the Year by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. Wariner also wrote “Longneck Bottle” (Garth Brooks), “Nothin’ but the Taillights” (Clint Black), and “Where the Blacktop Ends” (Keith Urban).
Tune in to Instagram Live every Tuesday at 8:00 PM CDT for songs and stories from hit songwriters. This interactive program is a spinoff of the museum’s popular Saturday Songwriter Session, a live performance—in which audience questions are welcome—offered weekly in the museum’s Ford Theater. The museum brings this program to your home online through Instagram Live.
