Gary Nicholson wrote Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill’s “One More Last Chance,” Lee Roy Parnell’s “Givin’ Water to a Drowning Man,” Country Music Hall of Fame member Patty Loveless’ “A Thousand Times a Day” and “The Trouble with the Truth,” Montgomery Gentry’s “She Couldn’t Change Me” and Country Music Hall of Fame member Don Williams’ “That’s the Thing About Love.” His songs have also been recorded by Ringo Starr, Clay Walker, Trisha Yearwood and Country Music Hall of Fame members Garth Brooks, Waylon Jennings, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson and Charley Pride. Additionally, Nicholson has produced five albums for Delbert McClinton, for which he has earned two Grammys. He is a member of both the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame.
