Women hold only 28% of jobs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Worldwide, women represent only 35% of all students enrolled in STEM-related fields of study.
Play Like a Girl Camp aims to bridge that gap through hands-on STEM education, mentorship opportunities, and transformational leadership training.
Camp is a unique opportunity for 35 middle school girls to dive into STEM-related subjects alongside their peers and develop their leadership skills in a uniquely safe, supportive, and girl-centered environment, with all expenses paid.
Campers learn to value taking risks and bouncing back from failure, in a fun camp environment that includes:
Arts and crafts projects
STEM career exploration led by industry experts
Sports enrichment and physical activity
Fun, mind-bending brain breaks
Girls Who Code Club sessions (daily)
A community service project to culminate the week
Registration Fee: $25. Supplies, snacks, bottled water and lots of giveaways provided daily. Students are responsible for a healthy brown bag lunch (no restaurant food) each day.
