Before the Grand Master Fiddler Championship Youth and Traditional category awards are announced, Riders in the Sky will perform. The group has delighted audiences with cowboy music and comedy for over forty years and are the only Grand Ole Opry members specializing in western music. Riders in the Sky have won multiple awards, including two Grammys—for their contributions to the animated films Toy Story 2 and Monsters, Inc.—and the Western Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year, Traditional Group of the Year, and Traditional Album of the Year honors.
