Come and see Chauvet Arts newest exhibition: The Gallery of Impossible Dreams.

The Gallery of Impossible Dreams does not simply display art. It gathers stories of those who still believe, in beauty, in truth, and the possibility of wonder.

Dreamers are our storytellers and every generation needs them. Cervantes gave us Don Quixote, tilting at windmills when the world no longer believed in knights. Shakespeare gave us Hamlet, suspended between duty and doubt. Dalí turned his dreams into visions of liquid time and living shadow.

And now, artists across the South continue that lineage with works created through limitless mediums. This is The Gallery of Impossible Dreams, a place where art is not static but alive, where every work whispers its own story, and together they tell a greater one: that imagination is the last frontier of freedom.

These painted, carved, printed, and photographed works speak of resilience and imagination in a time that often rewards cynicism. This exhibition is one continuous conversation about what it means to dream when reality resists.

Each work asks in its own way: How do we remain innocent in a world that demands cynicism? How do we keep dreaming when we have the courage to face the giants when everyone tells us they’re windmills?

This show contains work from new artists: Andy Llanes Busto and Lisyanet Rodriguez. With work from long-time gallery artists: Carlos Gamez de Francisco, Brandon Jones, Greer Wilkins, and Jorge Yances with a special collection of photography, field and audio recordings, and stories by Philip Holsinger.

The exhibition opens at Chauvet Arts in downtown Nashville on Saturday December 13th, 2025 and will be up until January 23rd, 2026.
