Hello. First off, this is not an 'event' so to speak. This is an art installation piece that I want to share with Nashville. I’m not sure if your magazine typically does PSA's, but I thought this would be interesting enough that you'd like to cover it.
I’m Jon Terzini, a local artist, and I’d love to share a new installation I’ve just set up in 5 Points. It’s called the Nashphone, and while it resembles a ‘90s-era payphone, it’s not for making calls. Instead, it’s designed to connect complete strangers.
Nashphone was inspired by the disconnect many of us felt post-pandemic. The concept is simple: one person leaves a message, the next person hears it and responds however they choose, and the cycle continues, creating a chain of conversations between people who’ve never met.
The installation is free, and I’m hoping to spread the word and get as many people involved as possible. Your mag seemed like the perfect platform to help make that happen. I’ve attached a photo of the piece, and I’m happy to provide more details about it. I’d love to share Nashphone with the lovely people of Nashville.
