Musician Spotlight: West Coast Steel with Dan Dugmore, Steve Fishell, JayDee Maness and Al Perkins

Pedal steel players Dan Dugmore, Steve Fishell, JayDee Maness and Al Perkins were all important musicians in the Los Angeles country-rock scene. Dan Dugmore is a former member of John Stewart’s and Linda Ronstadt’s touring bands and has contributed to albums by Don Henley, Jake Owen, John Prine, Country Music Hall of Fame member Kenny Rogers, James Taylor, Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis and more. Steve Fishell, who will moderate this event, has recorded and performed with Country Music Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris for 40 years and has also recorded with Eric Church, Country Music Hall of Fame member Reba McEntire and Country Music Hall of Fame member Dolly Parton. Additionally, he has produced #1 singles for Radney Foster and Pam Tillis. JayDee Maness is a member of the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame who has played with the Byrds, Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill, International Submarine Band, Country Music Hall of Fame member Buck Owens, Gram Parsons and more. Al Perkins is a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame who has toured and recorded with Country Music Hall of Fame member Garth Brooks, Cher, Bob Dylan, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Dan Fogelberg, Country Music Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons, Country Music Hall of Fame member Dolly Parton, James Taylor and Dwight Yoakam.
