California-born pianist and songwriter Bill Wence has shared stages and studios with Wanda Jackson, Cristy Lane, Slim Whitman and Country Music Hall of Fame members Bobby Bare and Tom T. Hall. At Bare’s encouragement, Wence moved to Nashville in 1973, where he wrote four Billboard-charting singles for himself as an artist between 1979 and 1980 and more than a dozen Billboard-charting singles for other artists.
