Iroquois Steeplechase
The Iroquois Steeplechase, sponsored by Bank of America, returns for its 85th anniversary on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Known as Nashville’s “Rite of Spring,” this storied tradition promises a day of world-class horse racing, Southern hospitality, fashion, and philanthropy. The 2026 celebration will debut The Magnolia Garden—a reimagined premium hillside experience formerly known as The Hunt Club—and a new live music stage in the infield, featuring performances by Nashville-based artists throughout the day.
Drawing more than 30,000 spectators annually, the Iroquois Steeplechase remains one of the premier steeplechase events in the United States, featuring six exhilarating races with total purses of $535,000—the richest on the National Steeplechase Association’s Spring circuit.
Over eight decades, the event has raised more than $11 million for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, with additional beneficiaries including The Foundation for the Horse and Friends of Warner Parks
