FREE MUSIC CITY RUCK MARCH TO TAKE PLACE AT NISSAN STADIUM ON VETERANS DAY
to
Nissan Stadium 1 Titans Way, Nashville, Tennessee 37213
Operation Strand Down TN, in partnership with the Bob Woodruff Foundation, is hosting a free ruck march this
Veterans Day in honor of fallen service members. This event will be open to all
active-duty military, veterans, Gold Star families and civilians.
Participants in the event will have the opportunity to complete either a traditional
ruck march race, where they walk, jog or hike the designated course while wearing
a weighted backpack or vest, or an honorary ruck with no weight. Individuals can
compete solo or in relay groups of up to four people, and every participant will be
given a bib containing the names of fallen service members to ruck in honor and
memory of.
This year, the event will be held on a course that runs through Nissan Stadium.
Participants will ruck a portion of the stadium, along with the Pedestrian Bridge,
throughout the three-hour timed march. This event will also include a free after
party scheduled to start immediately after the Nashville Veterans Day parade, with
live music, food trucks and veteran resources for the public regardless of whether
they joined the ruck.
