to
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum 222 5th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee 37203
Spoons — often called bones, clappers or clackers — are one of the oldest musical instruments. Museum visitors can join legendary Nashville musician Lucious “Spoonman” Talley for a spoons demonstration and to learn some beginner techniques. Spoons provided, or you may bring your own. Presented in partnership with the National Museum of African American Music’s FN2S (From Nothing to Something) program and in support of the museum's Discover Bobby Hebb project, part of a series exploring diverse voices in country music. Program made possible by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. (Recommended for ages 7 and up. All are welcome.)
