Family Program: Songwriting 101
Attendees will join museum educator and music professional Adam Ollendorff — who toured as a member of Kacey Musgraves’s band and has written songs recorded by Will Hoge and Keb’ Mo’ — in this introductory workshop inspired by Bobby Hebb’s song “Sunny,” which he wrote and recorded “to think of happier times.” Participants will learn the fundamentals of songwriting — including form, theme and rhyme scheme — then share ideas and write an original song as a group. Presented in support of the Museum's Discover Bobby Hebb project, part of a series exploring diverse voices in country music. Program made possible by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. (Recommended for ages 7 and up. All are welcome)
