Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Online Program: Live at the Hall: Charlie Crockett
Singer-songwriter Charley Crockett released his 10th full-length album in September entitled Music City USA, and he was recognized as the Emerging Act of the Year at the 2021 Americana Honors & Awards. Crockett grew up in the Gulf Coast town of San Benito, Texas, a largely Hispanic farming community in the Rio Grande Valley, 20 miles north of the Mexican border. His music blends blues, R&B, country and folk, much like country star Freddy Fender, who also hailed from San Benito. Crockett, alongside Fender, is featured in the American Currents: State of the Music exhibition’s Unbroken Circle, which illustrates the connection between country music’s past, present and future by sharing the stories of today’s artists and those who influenced them.
Watch on demand on the Museum’s YouTube channel, Facebook page and website starting with the premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. central.
Live at the Hall is underwritten in part by the Ford Motor Company Fund.
