Gather your crew, pack a picnic and spend a fall evening on the mountain at Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory!

Presented in partnership with the Bluebird Cafe, Bluebird on the Mountain brings acclaimed singer-songwriters to Dyer Observatory for an intimate evening of live music and storytelling. Hear the songs you know, discover new favorites and learn the stories behind the music, all from the scenic Observatory lawn.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early, spread out a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a picnic on the grounds before the music begins. With crisp fall air, sunset views and a one-of-a-kind hilltop setting, it’s a memorable way to gather with friends and experience an evening at Dyer.

One ticket admits one vehicle with up to eight guests, so grab your friends and make a night of it.

Following the concert, weather permitting, guests are invited to cap off the evening with complimentary telescope viewing under the night sky.
