3/24 - Artist Listening Session: Childish Gambino
888 is an innovative Japanese restaurant and vinyl record listening lounge bringing downtown Nashville a fusion of refined Japanese cuisine and a high-fidelity listening experience. Our restaurant caters to sound and vinyl connoisseurs, foodies, and design enthusiasts, representing a reprieve from the rowdy crowds of Broadway. It offers an intimate, communal dining experience akin to listening to a mix tape being made in real time. Nestled at the corner of 8th Avenue South, at 800 Clark Place, with a private entrance (look for the red light), 888 invites guests to an immersive experience that challenges both culinary and creative conventions. The concept takes inspiration from the traditional Jazz kissas of Japan, where consumers would convene for food and exceptional musical listening experiences.
Join us for a special artist listening session that will immerse you in the iconic sounds and legacy of your favorite artists. These sessions will celebrate anniversaries of renowned album releases, feature new albums from both seasoned artists and emerging talents, and showcase records thoughtfully selected from our DJ's curated personal collection. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the album’s magic, these sessions promise an unforgettable journey through its sonic landscape.
