Star Rover Sound, a music venue and restaurant from Ford Fry and the team behind the highly acclaimed restaurant, The Optimist and the newly opened Le Loup, is slated to open in Nashville this fall.
Located just off The Optimist’s main dining room, Star Rover Sound is a honky-tonk snack bar featuring live music, margaritas, and shareable snacks.
Showcasing a live recording studio with country and blues vibes and high quality sound, the venue will feature a full backline, Fender amps, and a house drum kit with a nightly sound engineer. The inspiration for Star Rover Sound came from the need for more listening rooms in Nashville. The mid-century-inspired space is a remixed interpretation of a honky-tonk with colorful, laminate tables and studio-inspired décor featuring quilted vinyl booths, a neon lit bar, and wall paneling fashioned with acoustic speaker fabric. The casual environment showscases indoor and outdoor seating with a live music feel during dinner which then transitions to a live show later in the evening.
Star Rover Sound's snack bar will include bites like beef picadillo and shrimp in-the-box tacos, fried bologna sandwiches, tuna tostadas, and more. With cocktails primarily based off tequila and whiskey, the drink menu will also feature craft beers on draft and limited wines-by-the-glass.
Star Rover Sound will be open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
