Jelly Roll took to the stage at his newly-opened Broadway bar.
Nashville Lifestyles hosted its annual Music in the City event featuring a sold-out Q&A and performance with January cover star Jelly Roll at his new bar, Goodnight Nashville on February 20.
Jelly Roll said it best: Music is medicine. Nashville Lifestyle's Music in the City event goes to show that his words ring true. The Nashville native put on a heartwarming and head-nodding show, reminiscing on days where singing on his own Broadway stage seemed impossible and playing hits that changed his life.
"I never thought that I would have my name on one [a Broadway bar], I never thought that I would be on the cover of Nashville Lifestyles," Jelly Roll shared during the pre-show Q&A. "All of this is a dream come true man. The support is unreal."
The unforgettable night proved to be a full circle moment for him, and he expressed gratitude to the fans. Songs such as "Son Of A Sinner," "Save Me," "Need A Favor," and even the honky-tonk classic "Friends In Low Places" proved to be superb for singing along and dancing.
Speaking of dancing, rising folk artist and Middle Tennessee State University alum Chloe Kimes treated attendees to a boot-tapping opening performance. Her high energy sound excelled at exciting the crowd for Jelly Roll.
