Founders Allison Holley (Apple & Oak) and Anna Schowe (Whiskey Water) are proud to announce the opening of Open Invite, a collaborative retail house and community space located at 2215 Riverside Drive. The shop is now open and operating daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a formal Grand Opening community party scheduled for February 13th.
Born from a shared desire to foster intentional community and support independent brands, Open Invite is a response to the changing landscape of retail. Rather than operating as separate storefronts, Holley and Schowe have merged their distinct aesthetics under one roof to create a space that feels like an open door—welcoming, lived-in, and deeply rooted in the East Nashville neighborhood.
Inside the thoughtfully designed space, visitors will find a curated blend of Apple & Oak’s signature vintage rugs and home goods alongside Whiskey Water’s contemporary women’s clothing, accessories, and their popular interactive Charm Bar.
“I have always wanted a shop that felt more like a place to gather and enjoy, and Open Invite is just that,” says co-founder Anna Schowe. “East Nashville is and always will be home, and bringing this concept to our own neighborhood is a dream.”
Open Invite is designed to be an evolving destination, featuring a rotating calendar of events, pop-ups, and community-driven moments. The mission is simple: to create a hub where friends bring friends, creativity is shared, and local businesses are supported in a meaningful way.
“We have been locals and business owners in East Nashville for years and are excited to continue pouring into this thriving community by adding a retail component that feels thoughtful, welcoming, and rooted in connection,” adds Allison Holley, owner of Apple & Oak.
Grand Opening Event Details: The community is invited to celebrate the launch on February 13th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The evening will feature live music by Sophia Scott and refreshments provided by Leiper's Fork Distillery.
