Demure Cocktail Lounge
Website: demurecocktaillounge.com, Address: 1319 6th Ave. N., Nashville, TN
Set inside a carefully preserved historic home in the heart of Germantown, Demure is bringing a new era of cocktail culture to Nashville. Created by Pikeld Concepts, the design-forward destination blends the glamour and sophistication of the 1960s with the charm of one of the neighborhood’s most storied properties.
Guests can expect warm wood paneling, bold geometric wallpaper, vintage lighting and thoughtfully curated mid-century furnishings, along with adaptive reuse design elements that honor the building’s history, including original flooring incorporated into the bar itself.
At the center of the experience is a cocktail program rooted in both classic and contemporary techniques, featuring house-made syrups, bitters and infusions served in antique glassware. The concept is led by Steve Barone, owner of Jackalope Brewing Company and leader of Pikeld Concepts, who envisions Demure as a timeless gathering place that feels immersive, authentic and distinctly Nashville.
Helping bring that vision to life is Senior Director of Food & Beverage Operations Trudy Thomas, whose luxury hospitality background spans brands including Wolfgang Puck Restaurant Group, Marriott International and Gaylord Hotels. Together, the team aims to create a refined yet welcoming destination where elevated cocktails, thoughtful hospitality and meaningful connection take center stage.

Inspired by the Nahuatl word ōmetēotl, which reflects the balance between Texas and Mexico’s culinary traditions, the restaurant draws from the borderland cuisine of Northern Mexico and Texas while offering a refined, contemporary approach rooted in thoughtful technique and high-quality ingredients.
The menu will feature elevated takes on Tex-Mex staples such as tacos, tostadas and fajitas, alongside live-fire cooking, complex sauces and a Gulf Coast-inspired seafood program. Guests can also expect a dedicated tortilla program using Mexican heirloom corn that is nixtamalized and ground in-house daily, as well as a beverage menu spotlighting refined cocktails and agave-based spirits.
The design-forward space will overlook the Cumberland River near Ascend Amphitheater and is intended to pair warm hospitality with a vibrant atmosphere.
