Prime + Proper, the Detroit-born modern American steakhouse celebrated for its meticulous craftsmanship, in-house butchery and intentional hospitality, will open its highly anticipated sophomore location on February 23 at Nashville Yards. Ranked No. 69 globally and No. 20 in the U.S. according to the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurant List, Prime + Proper arrives in Nashville with national acclaim. Dinner reservations will be released 30 days in advance and will be available to book on their website or via Resy beginning at 10 a.m. on February 17.
“Building Prime + Proper over the last eight years has been about obsessing over the fundamentals – craftsmanship, precision and hospitality done right, every single night,” said Jeremy Sasson, founder of Heirloom Hospitality. “Nashville shares that same respect for hard work and heart, which is why it felt like the right place to grow. This isn’t about scale or expansion for us. It’s about bringing a level of care and discipline to a city that will truly appreciate it.”
Rooted in this shared philosophy, Prime + Proper Nashville introduces menu elements that reflect a thoughtful dialogue between place and craft, integrating Tennessee’s rich farmers, ranchers, growers and rounded permaculture who work hard with purposeful products and sources built from Tennessee, through disciplined technique rather than Broadway novelty.
Diners can expect culinary curations energized by Tennessee traditions, while featuring the finest Wagyu cattle from around the globe, including the signature Whiskey-Aged Cowboy Ribeye. The meat is subtly enhanced by locally made Leiper’s Fork Distillery Whiskey during the dry-aging process and the unique flavor is carried through to Prime + Proper’s au poivre sauce, creating continuity from dry-aging preparation to finished plates.
