Today, Nashville-based Southern Land Company, a vertically integrated, national real estate developer of award-winning mixed-use and master-planned communities, announced its highly anticipated first full-service restaurant, Lupo Notte, will open on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 2035 Richard Jones Road, home of Southern Land Company’s flagship mixed-use community, Vertis Green Hills.
Lupo Notte will offer upscale Italian favorites featuring house-made pasta, pizzas, daily specials, and entrees incorporating locally sourced ingredients, all in a stunningly designed space with natural light and refined contemporary decor.
Lupo Notte marks Southern Land Company’s first full-service restaurant and represents a strategic evolution of the company’s long-standing commitment to placemaking and hospitality. Southern Land Company owns and operates dining facilities at Westhaven Golf Club in Franklin, Tennessee.

Lupo Notte’s Kitchen Will Be Run by Executive Chef Owen Lane
Chef Owen Lane has been named Lupo Notte’s Executive Chef. Most recently serving as Executive Sous Chef at Nashville favorite Pastis, Chef Lane also worked at Audrey and June in East Nashville, and The Boardroom in Franklin, located within Southern Land’s premier Westhaven community. A Tennessee native, Chef Lane grew up on a family farm in Leipers Fork and has been in the restaurant and hospitality business for nearly 30 years.

His experience, creativity, and commitment to excellence make him the ideal person to bring the culinary vision for Lupo Notte to life.”
Cauchon, alongside Downey and Senior Director of Culinary Paul Sale, led the concept development of Lupo Notte. The restaurant’s menu was also crafted in collaboration with Westhaven Golf Club’s Chef Manlio Melloni. Guests at Lupo Notte can expect to enjoy shareable plates such as wagyu beef carpaccio and signature Lupo meatballs, alongside entrees featuring fresh seafood, creative house-made pasta dishes, and 12-inch pizzas prepared in a state-of-the-art, three-deck oven designed to maintain optimal temperature, yielding crisp pies.
Lupo Notte's beverage program will feature seasonally driven craft cocktails and an expertly curated selection of wines, with a strong representation of Italian varietals selected to complement the menu.
Nashville restaurant veteran David Rehrmann serves as General Manager at Lupo Notte. Throughout his career, he has specialized in restaurant openings, operational excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Rehrmann is an accomplished hospitality executive with extensive experience leading acclaimed restaurants, such as A Voce in New York City, as well as Modern Italian and Zuzu in Nashville.

Lupo Notte will initially open daily for dinner service, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch service is slated to commence this fall.
A New Design Forward Experience in Green Hills
Designed by SLC’s award-winning in-house design team, in collaboration with the renowned Nashville-based firm, HASTINGS Architecture, Lupo Notte is a sophisticated, European-inspired dining destination layered with whimsical artwork and timeless bistro-inspired furnishings. The restaurant offers an elegant, immersive atmosphere that is effortlessly refined.
“We were thrilled to continue our relationship with Southern Land Company, actualizing their bespoke vision for Lupo Notte, reflecting the same quality of design for which they are known,” said David Bailey, Principal at HASTINGS. “We extended the character and materiality that originally inspired Vertis Green Hills and embraced an additional layer of detail and execution becoming of this gorgeous restaurant space. The expansion into the courtyard adds the ambiance of a glowing lantern, inviting in residents and patrons with its warm light and views into the striking interior. This project has a big impact for its scale and contributes elevated Italian dining and a genuine gathering place for Vertis and Green Hills to call its own.”
Spanning nearly 3,100 square feet, Lupo Notte offers seating for approximately 110 guests indoors, plus an additional 20 seats across the restaurant's two outdoor patios. The intricately designed space connects diners to the kitchen with an open kitchen and full-service bar, creating an atmosphere equally suited for casual gatherings, celebratory dinners, and everything in between.
The restaurant also features a new glass-walled dining and bar area, creating a bright, inviting destination for residents and visitors alike. Upon entering, guests will be greeted by an elegant quartz bar top anchored by a custom mural of Lupo—the Italian word for "wolf." From there, the experience flows into an intimate Chef's Counter with eight seats, where diners enjoy a front-row view of the open kitchen and personalized service from the culinary team. The journey culminates in the restaurant's vibrant main dining room, which opens onto an inviting outdoor patio.
