When Nicky's Coal Fired re-opened its doors in early June, it was not without a few changes.
In addition to new safety and sanitation protocols for both guests and staff, the Italian eatery located in the heart of The Nations also shifted its traditional tableside service to a fast-casual concept—not to mention they also started a bagel shop.
Since opening a few weeks ago, Bagel Shop has gained extensive popularity which has prompted the restaurant to extend its hours. Beginning Friday, July 10, the once weekend-only bagel shop will now be open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the exception of Tuesdays when the restaurant is closed.
With its new hours, Bagel Shop is also bringing guests new offerings. Chef Tony Galzin has added an array of coal-fired sandwiches to the menu including a BLT Bagel, Roasted Turkey Bagel, and a Roast Beef Bagel. And if the bagels taste familiar, it's because each is prepared by former owner of Hillsboro Village's Bare Naked Bagel Shop, Rob Kane.
For those looking for more traditional breakfast items, Bagel Shop offers a variety of cream cheese spreads and breakfast sandwiches, along with Barista Parlor cappuccinos, lattes, drip coffee, and espressos.
