A new chapter in neighborhood dining is opening in East Nashville with the debut of M.L.Rose’s newest location in Inglewood, officially opening Monday, July 14. Known for their craft burgers, local beer, and laid-back vibe, M.L.Rose’s newest outpost continues that tradition—this time in a fully renovated 1940's era building, designed by local firm Design and Engineering, Inc., which served as architect, engineer, and permit expeditor for the project.
The Inglewood location introduces a fresh take on the brand’s signature look and feel, while maintaining the inviting character that M.L.Rose fans know and love. Warm wood accents, openair seating, and thoughtfully layered interiors create a space that feels right at home in East Nashville’s vibrant food scene.
"From the initial design iterations with the founder, Austin Ray, we knew we wanted to incorporate the iconic shotgun-style bar of the original 8th Avenue location" said Ryan Nicholson, President and Architect at Design and Engineering, Inc. "At the same time, we saw an opportunity to create something special outside—a tucked-away patio that feels like an escape from the busy energy of Gallatin Avenue. The goal was to design a hidden oasis with an eclectic vibe that fits seamlessly into the Inglewood neighborhood."
“We worked closely with the A. Ray Hospitality team to create a space that was both functional and true to their brand identity,” said Will Craig, Civil Department Head at Design and Engineering, Inc. “From the building shell to the patio design, every detail was intentional.”
In addition to M.L.Rose, Design and Engineering, Inc. also provided design services for the adjacent Club Pilates, Crieve Hall Bagel, and Nick the Greek, helping bring new life to a full retail corner of Gallatin Pike.
