We love hosting food and wine nights, and our fifth annual Savor Nashville event (April 28, 2016) is the highlight of the year. Here are five reasons we think you should pull up a seat and join us at the table!
1) The Celebrity Chefs:
Some of the country's best will be in the kitchen busily prepararing this year's six-course dinner. Local chef Jake Strang of Nashville's 1808 Grille hosts James Beard Foundation award winning guests including Justin Aprahamian of Sanford Restaurant in Milwaukee, WI, and Jason Stanhope, FIG in Charleston, SC. Rounding out the celebrity chef tour is Steve Phelps of Indigenous from Sarasota, FL as well as Hosea Rosenberg, Bravo TV's Top Chef season five winner from Blackbelly Market in Boulder, CO.
2) The wine:
Arrive early for a cocktail reception featuring the crisp and elegant Sonoma Brut from Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards plus a signature cocktail. Ferrer's Blanc De Noirs will also be featured with the first course of the evening. A selection of Jordan Winery wines will complement each course to follow: a lush, lingering Chardonnay, as well as a variety of their fruit forward, silky Cabernets.
3) The music:
Clap and stomp along as The Roosevelts perform from their upcoming album, The Greatest Thing You'll Ever Learn. Jason Kloess and James Masontwo brothers in song, not blood (though maybe by beard) have been playing together for years, cultivating a sound that's a little indie, a little alt-country, and and little bit pop-rock. Most importantly, it's just heartfelt, genuine music they'll be sharing during this year's event.
4) The Price:
With this lineup, the menu and the pairings we have prepared, you'll be hard pressed to find such a luxe evening for less. At $165 per person, the one-night only event includes champagne and appetizers from the celebrity chefs, a six-course dinner with wine pairings, tax and gratuity, plus a few extra goodies.
5) The beneficiaries:
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the James Beard Foundation
