Rocky Road Pizza | City Winery Nashville, $14
Move quickly past the flatbreads on the City Winery dinner menu and head directly to this sweet treat, which gets topped with milk chocolate ganache, marshmallows, and a drizzle of bourbon caramel.
Tuna Truffle Pizza | Sunda New Asian, $18
Set on roti (an Indian flatbread), instead of traditional dough, this form of pizza proves that you can meld cuisines to create a super fusion. Thin slices of tuna get topped with a little tuft of micro greens, and tiny dollops of foie gras aioli.
Lox Pizza | Nashville Urban Winery, $15
There are plenty of pizzas to try at this new winery in East Nashville—a blistering wood-fired oven sees to that. But this version is just right for brunch, combining smoky slabs of salmon, chile peppers, capers, and red onion bits. Pair it with the house’s Anonymous Sauvignon Blanc.
Cauliflower Pizza | TailGate Brewery, $11.99
Do not turn your nose up at this veggie-based attraction. That cauliflower crust has serious flavor packed into it. On top, the veggies add freshness in the form of green pepper, red onion, tomato, black olive, and mushroom.
Caprese Pizza on Black Carbon Focaccia Crust | Mangia, $11
A pizza is still a pizza, even when the crust is charcoal black. Chef Nick Pellegrino makes his own carbon crust focaccia every day, offering it up during his casual weeknight service Mondays through Thursdays. The caprese puts a colorful wrapping on the darkened dough, plus those fresh tomatoes, leafy arugula, and salty prosciutto slices all make the crust sing.
