Generous Helpings, the popular annual food and beverage event and fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, will take place on May 11 at 6:30 p.m.
This year may look quite a bit different, but the spirit of the event has remained intact to raise much needed funds for the grocery rescue program and honor the current protocols necessary to keep people safe. The fundraiser will feature multiple three-course dinners taking place simultaneously at restaurants throughout Nashville.
Attendees will have the opportunity to choose one of four locally owned restaurants as their destination for the evening. The chefs at each restaurant will create and serve a three-course meal -- restaurants include Chaatable, Hathorne, Jasper’s and Sinema. Sinema’s dinner will be specially packaged as a to-go meal for those who are not yet comfortable dining out.
Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here. Tickets for dinner at Chaatable, Hathorne and Jasper’s are $100 per person, which includes the meal and a welcome cocktail in the restaurant. Tickets for the dinner at Sinema are $75 each, which includes the dinner to go.
Proceeds from Generous Helpings will benefit Second Harvest’s grocery rescue program, which works to reduce both hunger and food waste by rescuing, sorting and distributing frozen meat, dairy, produce and dry groceries from more than 280 grocery stores and food donors.
