After 10 years in downtown Franklin, Redo Home + Design has new Nashville digs. This spring, owner Mitzi Maynard brought her home furnishing and design shop to Nashville's unofficial design district, on Sidco Drive.
'We've been wanting a larger space,” Maynard says. 'We were in such a quaint and wonderful building and were looking for that same coziness and character and finally found it.”
The store has doubled in size, yet still maintains a boutique feeling, with warm, inviting spaces; unique and plentiful in-stock decor; bold color options; and a spacious design center, which is specially made to accommodate that side of Maynard's business.
Her goal with Redo has always been to promote beauty and exquisite design. She says they're proud to be a 'to-the-trade” destinationindustry lingo for a place that welcomes designers and their clients to come in and enjoy the store's workspace at any time, together or on their own.
'We are open to the public,” design partner Lori Paranjape says. 'We will set up an account, andwhether they're with their designer, or it's just the designer, or just the clientthey can come in and shop anytime with special privileges.”
For inspiration, shoppers can browse pieces that have been thoughtfully collected from hundreds of vendors all over the country or pop into the design center, which features a huge selection of designer wallpaper books and fabrics. Their in-house specialist is on-hand and ready to work on any project, large or small.
'Shoppers can bring in a picture of the room they're working on, and we will help them every step of the way,” Maynard says. 'We love creating relationships with our clients, and our in-house designer goes at their pace.”
