From the first sketch, the site dictated the story of this flawless Paros Group home.
“We were immediately inspired by the beauty of this setting and how rare it is to have the opportunity to build a new home on a lot with so many mature trees, and therefore used the landscape as both a backdrop and a design influence,” says Rachel Taylor, Co-Founder and Head of Design for Paros Group. “The expansive windows were designed to frame the lush greenery like living art, allowing natural light to filter through the branches and cast ever-changing shadows across the interiors.
We created an interior palette of soft neutrals, warm woods, and organic stone to mirror the tones and textures of the outdoors, creating a harmonious transition between inside and out.” Nature as a muse shows up in every gesture.
The team composed the interior palette to create a seamless transition between inside and out. Living spaces are oriented to long, leafy views, with their open, airy layouts drawing the eye past clean-lined architecture to the surrounding canopy.
"What I love most about this home is how it feels like a sanctuary. There’s a beautiful balance between modern sophistication and natural warmth, where every space tells its own story.”
“By orienting living spaces toward these views and incorporating open, airy layouts, the home invites the serenity of nature in, making the mature trees not just part of the scenery, but an integral element of the design itself,” Taylor says.
Paros Group treats architecture and interiors as one language. Soaring ceilings, expansive walls of glass, and open floorplans supply a modern framework, while tactile materials deliver warmth.
“The architecture of this home and its interior design work hand-in-hand to create a cohesive, elevated living space. Both the architecture and design share a minimalist, cleanlined aesthetic,” Taylor explains. “The architecture provides the grand, open framework, and the interior design layers in warmth, texture, with pops of boldness to counterbalance the geometry. This push-and-pull between grandeur and coziness creates a home that feels both impressive and easily livable.”
Light oak floors and warm wood cabinetry ground the volume, while limestone plaster and a neutral palette soften edges. The result is rooms that feel edited yet welcoming, with spaces that breathe.
Careful placement of lighting gives each room its own moment with the sun, from a kitchen that catches the morning to a living room that glows at golden hour.
“We feel that natural light changes the way you experience a home — it’s uplifting, calming, and makes every space feel alive,” says Taylor. “We don’t just add [windows] in; we design the entire layout around them so that every room gets that beautiful, intentional light.”
As critical as daylight is, decorative lighting also gets its moment in the sun.
“We see lighting as the jewelry of a home. It’s the last thing that goes in, but it’s one of the first things that is noticed. The lights selected for this home, like all of our homes, were very intentional. We hunt endlessly for that perfect fixture that will hit just the right juxtaposition of modern yet warm, unique yet fitting,” Taylor says.
Beyond its architectural clarity, the home is built for everyday ease; grand where it counts and intimate where it matters.
“What I love most about this home is how it feels like a sanctuary. There’s a beautiful balance between modern sophistication and natural warmth, where every space tells its own story. The airy kitchen that welcomes morning light, the living room that feels both grand and inviting, the dining area that seems to float in the trees, the restful bedrooms, and the spa-like bathroom that feels worlds away from the everyday,” says Taylor.
For Paros Group, luxury is measured in intention and details, both of which turn a modern structure into a beacon of inviting warmth.
“We’re involved in every detail from start to finish, everything from the architecture and window placement to the stone, the lighting, and even down to the robe hooks in the bathrooms,” says Taylor. “For us, luxury isn’t just about big, showy moments; it’s about the little things that make a home feel thoughtful and complete.”
