Celebrity stylist Claudia Robertson Fowler has worked with artists from Martina McBride to Faith Hill and this spring, she brought her signature love of fashion and interior design to 12 South with the opening of her second store, Hero. Similar to her first boutique, Haven in downtown Franklin, Hero blends high-end designer looks with a mix of merchandise, all amid a comfortable, eclectic atmosphere.
Fowler collaborated with Nashville-based interior design duo Emily Ward Carney and Louisa Scaggs of Pierce & Ward to curate a '70s glam vibe,” says Fowler. It's a feel that's reflective of her own style as well as the aesthetic of the neighborhood. 'The design of the space was critical, as I wanted a young, artistic viewpoint that was also timeless,” she says. 'Each piece in the store was thoughtfully procured, placed, and designed.”
The store's name refers to Fowler's love of closet staples, the key pieces in any outfit that draw the eye while seamlessly weaving together an entire look. '[It's] a term I use frequently in my styling work: hero pieces, meaning the most important piece in the shot,” she explains. '[The store's selection] will be edited tightly to feature all the special and important pieces in a wardrobe.”
